  • New Brunswick Medicare is offering a one-time coverage extension to individuals experiencing delays with the renewal of immigration documents through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). If your Medicare coverage has expired, please provide the confirmation you received from IRCC showing your name and the date your application was received to If found eligible, your coverage could be extended by six months from the date your previous IRCC documents expired. A letter to this effect will be sent to you in 4-6 weeks.
  • New Brunswick will cover the cost of COVID-19 services for uninsured people who do not meet the criteria for Medicare coverage. This will help to ensure that no one will be discouraged from seeking screening or treatment for COVID-19 for financial reasons.
